| Boeing honored with two awards of excellence
Officials with the Technological Research and Development Authority honored The Boeing Co. for outstanding contributions to the Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program. Boeing received two awards of excellence for assistance provided to Safety Scan Technologies Inc. and Tyrell Inc. Safety Scan Technologies manufactures a technological device that scans water for contaminants with the ability to scan through metal, glass, ceramic and plastic barriers. Boeing senior scientist/engineer Dan Kovach helped streamline the electronic design of the technology into a more compact and smaller device, which could be potentially used as a hand-held-sized unit. Boeing assisted Tyrell Inc. on its newly developed product, Zeno, a device designed to treat individual acne blemishes.

Acne and Green Tea: Natural Treament for Clear Skin
Green tea is used by the Chinese as a traditional medicine to treat many ailments including acne and to improve general well-being. But does it provide an effective herbal alternative to acne medication? As a herbal remedy, green tea is known to be effective in treating acne. In a recent study by Jennifer Gan-Wong, M.D. a green tea cream was trailed against a 4% benzoyl peroxide solution on people suffering with moderate to severe acne.
